Expatriate Administrator

We are seeking an expatriate administrator for our portfolio company EVRO tbm in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Reporting to our local management and senior investment team, the ideal candidate will have a background in accounting, business or a related field, strong analytical skills, and a dependable and adventurous spirit.


Key Responsibilities


In this multifaceted role, you will work alongside our local administrators to manage back-end, front-end and reporting aspects of our construction materials business. Key duties will include:

  • Overseeing the company’s regular accounting and financial processes including banking, payroll, expenses and revenue procedures

  • Assisting in the organisation of our local administration staff and their workflows to improve efficiency and sustainability across the company including in production.

  • Liaising with local and international suppliers to ensure the maintenance and improvement of our assets including our production equipment.

  • Working with our sales team to ensure high quality front-end performance, quality control and customer satisfaction.

  • Leading the professionalisation of our local staff and the development of a modern and efficient workplace culture.

  • Producing regular and discretionary reports for the benefit of senior management and shareholder representatives.

  • Other administrative interventions as and when the need arises.

You will also assist in:

  • Engaging with the local market to identify strategic opportunities and grow our business.

  • Developing expertise in our precast and ready-mix products and their supply to clients.

  • Liaising with government and external local agencies in our company’s best interests.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Maths or a related business field.

  • Experience in aconstruction, civil engineering and/or a related industrial startup setting,equivalent to solid technical skills or experience relating to accounting and/or business administration.

  • Fluency in English is a must, additional fluency in French and Russian is a bonus.

  • Flexible and adaptable to the rigours of an emerging country environment.
